The biased liberal media schadenfreude was on full display during Donald Trump's presidency when reporting Trump's legal troubles. It seemed to take pleasure in eviscerating Mr. Trump.
Members of our liberal broadcast and print media now have had two years of such enjoyment as they have continued their anti-Trump mantra while speaking well about our current president and their golden boy, Joe Biden.
During a “60 Minutes” interview back on Sept. 18, CBS’ Scott Pelley asked President Joe Biden what he thought about the recently released image of top-secret documents that FBI agents had discovered during a search of former President Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago.“How that could possibly happen,” Biden responded. “How one — anyone could be that irresponsible. And I thought, ‘What data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?’ … Totally irresponsible.” 1
Now that we know classified documents have been stored in Biden's garage since his vice president days, how will the biased liberal media handle the matter? Will the media:
- Give Trump less hostile treatment than it has recently?
- Give Biden the same hostile treatment it gave Trump?
- Do what it does best: spin, spin, and spin some more?
President Biden, who “people know takes classified information very seriously,” maintains, through counsel, that his illegal retention of classified documents in multiple unauthorized private locations (so far, his private office, his garage, various areas of one of his homes, etc.) was an unfortunate case of their being “inadvertently misplaced.”
The article goes on to say:
Note the passive voice. They sometimes seem to be saying that the documents somehow misplaced themselves. At best, they are implying that this was all the fault of a sloppy aide. Rest assured, though, that Biden himself had nothing to do with it. It’s a blame-shifting strategy: You’re to believe that it was not our notoriously error-prone leader who was inadvertently misplacing classified intelligence — i.e., exhibiting gross negligence.
A new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday revealed that 60% of Americans believe Biden handled classified materials inappropriately, with only 22% saying he did the right thing in his handling of the materials.
The White House has not explained why the discovery was not made public sooner after news former President Donald Trump may be in possession of classified materials was blasted almost immediately.
